Spain Discovery: A Day in Gibraltar

Today’s Update written by Shoshana & Emma S.

What a wonderful few days we’ve had! Yesterday we traveled from Seville to Gibraltar where we spent half a day soaking up the sun at the beach while enjoying a lovely lunch and view at La Luna. We then walked back to our hotel and quickly got ready for dinner in Gibraltar. The group crossed the border, entering UK territory. We had dinner at a kosher restaurant where we enjoyed meatloaf and chicken along with zucchini soup. After walking back to the hotel, we relaxed for a while and then our staff called us down for an impromptu dance party. We took over the terrace and danced the night away to the hotel DJ.

The next morning, we woke up nice and early to get to the Rock of Gibraltar, where we took a cable car up the mountain and enjoyed the breathtaking view. When we got to the top, several monkeys greeted us with open arms and smiles. After a hike to O’Hara’s Battery, we walked back to Gibraltar to explore the wonder the city has to offer. We ate a delicious meal of our choice and shopped till we dropped, before returning together as a group. We then headed to our dinner at Lord Nelson where we indulged in fish and chips, pasta, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We walked back to the border and got some much-needed rest at the hotel after a long day. As new adventures greet us, we will take the memories of Gibraltar and keep them with us forever.
