Trek Israel – Update #3

Hello Parents and Friends!

Below are a few updates from our teens on the trip! Enjoy!

These past few weeks have been really great. Prior to the trip, I did not feel connected to Israel at all, let alone my Jewish Heritage. My parents “strongly encouraged” me to go to Israel, a place that, to me, was just a destination that was extremely hot. Even though that is still the case, these past 2 weeks have been an amazing experience of adventure, learning, and bonding. In such a short amount of time I have gained so much appreciation and knowledge of Israel and religion. I am so thankful to be on this trip and to have the opportunity to become close with you guys. I have enjoyed every minute of it and am looking forward to continuing this adventure.

In the archeological dig, i had an incredible time.I really felt like Indiana Jones. Digging the soil with shovels, feeling the sand and the dust in all my clothes and looking for ancient potteries is something i never hd done before. And it was awesome! Saddly i didnt reach the floor that we were looking for, but i found a lot of potteries and bones.
