Israel Journey 2A – Update #4

Hello Friends and Families!

Please enjoy the following update from Leah Learner, one of the teens on our trip!

Today was one of our most packed days yet and subsequently one of the best. In order to beat the harsh desert heat we woke up early and immediately departed for the Kassui Sand dunes. We were able to explore the water like properties of the sand and everyone gleefully ran among the hills

Afterward we made our way to the beautiful Red Canyon Trail. Other than a few sporadic ladders it was a relatively easy and flat hike between two massive rock walks. Ohri led us in meditation at the end so we all left feeling refreshed and ready for the second half of the day.

We were given some free time for lunch at the mall in picturesque Eilat, and many were able to explore the boardwalk along the Red Sea. Following a short bus ride we arrived at one of the incredible Coral reefs. Where we snorkeled and observed the ocean creatures. The fun continued at a nearby beach where everyone could choose to banana boat; kayak, pedal boat, or just tan by the shore.

The day was capped off with a visit to the famous Yotava ice cream store, widely renowned for its high quality dairy and vast array of flavors. Full and content we made our way back to the kibbutz for some much needed rest after the long day.
