Final Thoughts from Central Europe #1

Today is the last leg of our journey. For all of us it will continue in our own way. For many we continue on to Israel. For others we go home to family. And for a few other world explorations await. While we will have different experiences beginning tomorrow over the last 10 days we have shared a joint experience that we all feel and know will stay with us for a long time to come.

Monday left many of us sad after visiting Madanek and again seeing up close the horrors of the Shoah and the very real affects it has left behind.

Tuesday, our last day started with an amazing breakfast and then we headed to the Warsaw cemetery. There we talked about how all of the places we have been contributed to the Jewish life have today, how our more modern forefathers established the state of Israel and how Central European life influenced the Judaic world we all know today.

We concluded our time in Europe with a tour of the Warsaw Ghetto and one last meal as an amazing group.

Spending time and having these experiences with these teens has been a blessing we cannot express how thankful we are to have had this experience with all of them.

With love,

Seth, Barry & Nikki
