Ambassadors to Argentina – Update #3

Hi Family & Friends,

Please enjoy the following update from teens from our trip!

“On Monday, we spent our first full day in Iguazú Falls, located in the northeastern border of Argentina. In the morning, we enjoyed two different ‘hikes.’ The first was a leisurely walk across a bridge leading us to the falls. We enjoyed the view as well as taking pictures in front of the falls. Afterwards, we walked around the jungle area surrounding the falls. After a delicious packed lunch, our group departed for the Great Adventure Tour! The tour consisted of a jeep ride through the jungle to a boat ride between the borders of Argentina and Brazil. The highlight of the tour was having our boat go directly under the falls, drenching is all! Lastly, we departed for our hotel for dinner, free time with our friends, and a group game of Jewish geography trivia. It will be hard to say goodbye to Iguazú on Wednesday, but we look forward to making the most of our time here and are excited return to Buenos Aires for the last leg of our trip.”

“Tuesday was truly an ‘adventure’ day. We started by going into the rainforest, where we had a hike through the Misiones jungle and learned about some tree species. We also enjoyed the different noises of the atmosphere. Later, we moved to the zip line area where each of us enjoyed the fascinating experience of flying like a bird through the jungle! Rappel was the next experience we were challenged to, consisting of climbing down a natural wall 20 meters high. If I had to choose two words to describe these special moments they would be ‘fun’ and ‘adrenaline.’ Next we had lunch back at the hotel (milanesas, Argentina’s typical food!) and enjoyed more bonding time and rest together as a group. Later in the afternoon we went for a boat trip to the triple frontier: cruising the Parana River on the border of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. There we enjoyed live music and a fantastic view of our surroundings. We ended the day by going back to the hotel, eating dinner and spending some time with our new A2A friends/family. It was definitely a great day!
