Israel Journey 5C: Update #6

Dear Friends and Family,

We can’t believe this will be our final update. We have loved spending the past 16 days in Israel and 26 days on our journey.

Wednesday started out at the Bat Yar ropes course where our teens challenged themselves in the upper ropes section. After a fun morning we drove to the spiritual city of Tzvat. We enjoyed lunch, shopping and exploring in the city known for Kabbalah. We went to a beautiful synagogue before leaving Tzvat and heading into our afternoon activity.

The afternoon was spent volunteering and learning about HaShomer HaHadash a youth program in Israel. We had the unique opportunity to help trim trees to prevent forest fires for the local community and hear the President of HaShomer HaHadash, Ran Shmueli.
We ended the evening with ice cream and smiles!

Thursday morning we left the Upper Galilee and went to a coexistence workshop at the Galilee foundation. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the Druze Village of Ussafiya. We then went to the Artist Colony at Ein Hod where we participated in an art workshop and our own Serhiy played the bass guitar with world renown drummer, Yonaton Bar Rashi!

We then went to the Bahai gardens and saw a stunning view. We arrived to Ana Ako and will spend the remainder of our trip until our last day in Tel Aviv.

We are looking forward to ending our trip celebrating Shabbat together as a BBYO Passport mishpacha [family].

B’Shalom,
Chelsea and Brad
