Israel Journey 3B: Update #6

The last couple of days have been jam packed with exciting, strenuous and relaxing activities. Monday was probably one of the longest days that we’ve had so far! We woke up early so we could and climb the famous Israeli dunes and then jump, roll, or fall down them. I think that we took enough sand back that we created our own little dune in the bus!  Following that early morning excursion, we enjoyed the crystal clear Red Sea. There we went Banana Boating, snorkeling, and ended our time in Eilat in the Ice Mall for lunch. On our way back to kibbutz we stopped for the world famous ice cream at Yotvata! Back at the kibbutz we finished day the day with some free time, group activities, and some much needed rest.

Tuesday was much more relaxed! Some of us at breakfast together and others went to the convenience store on the kibbutz and bought the ingredients we needed to make pancakes. This led to many of us hanging out together outside enjoying our home-made pancakes! After that we left for the Makhtesh Ramon crater where we learned about the first Israeli astronaut, and then we enjoyed more sight seeing. To finish the day, we arrived at the Bedouin tents where we rode camels, had a traditional meal, and learned about their culture!
