Western Europe Discovery #2: Cheers from England!

Greetings from England! We arrived at Heathrow early on Wednesday morning and met our guide Gregor! We quickly loaded the bus and headed to our first stop, Windsor Castle! After a pizzur snack, we toured the grounds and even saw Queen Mary’s doll house! We took some great pictures and had more free time to take in the local culture with lunch and shopping!

Finally we made it to our hotel, checked in and cleaned up a little from our long day of traveling! The nights ended with some fun ice breakers and a wonderful meal at a local restaurant! After a long day everyone went to bed early and got some well needed rest for our second day!

Thursday morning came quickly and we had a jam packed day of touring, fun, and lots of walking! We took the “tube” to Leicester Square and walked to Trafalgar Square! We made our way to Buckingham Palace to watch the changing of the guard! It was neat listening to the band and watching the ceremony! We also took in local landmarks such as 10 Downing Street, Picidilly Circus, Westminster Abbey and Big Ben!

After many attempts, a few of us even got a royal guard to smile (which is quite hard to do). After all those photo ops we needed some shopping! The kids enjoyed shopping on Oxford street! We concluded the night with an all you can eat pizza buffet and a sun set ride on the London Eye, which hands down was our favorite part of the day!

We look forward to enjoying another day of sightseeing and celebrating Shabbat together! Make sure you are checking our Facebook album for daily pictures!
