Pacific Connect: Bryce Canyon National Park and the Grand Canyon

Hello from Flagstaff, Arizona! We have been having a blast in the Southwest! On Friday morning, we left our hotel in St. George, Utah and headed straight to the exceptionally beautiful and exceptionally hot Zion National Park. We hiked, souvenir shopped, and hydrated all while learning all about the formation of the amazing red rock formations of Zion.

After our day in the park we headed to the Zion Ponderosa Resort Ranch for Shabbat. It was special to welcome Shabbat in such a beautiful and remote place. We closed our evening there with some beautiful desert star gazing. On Saturday we spent the day at the ranch. We swam in the pool, rock climbed, zip lined, mini golfed, and more. We had Havdalah at a bonfire and enjoyed some fireside conversation. It was one of the best Shabbats of the trip.

Sunday morning we said goodbye to Zion and headed straight to Bryce Canyon National Park. We all marveled at the unique and other worldly looking hoodoos of the Canyon. From there, we boarded the bus and ate lunch and watched movies. We stopped in Kanab, Utah, to go to the Little Hollywood Museum. We learned about the history of Western movies in the Southwest and got to tour old movie sets. We ended our evening in Flagstaff where we had dinner and settled into our comfortable hotel. Monday we will see the Grand Canyon
