Israel Journey #3: Journeying South and Desert Adventures

As Shabbat came to an end and we reunited with our teens who ventured off for host family weekend and packed up continue forward from Neve Ilan. Sunday morning bright and early we began our journey south for our desert adventures. Starting off with Dig-for-a-day, the teens became archeologists as they uncovered artifacts in caves.

After that we continued, stopping along the way to see many beautiful views of the vast desert. We finally arrived at Kibutz Yahel where we enjoyed dinner and a refreshing pool party! It was amazing to splash around without friends after a day in the desert heat! Monday was an early morning! We woke up at 6:00 am and headed to the Kassui Sand Dunes. The teens loved, running, rolling and cartwheeling down the dunes.

Our day was then filled with water adventures. We banana boated in the Red Sea and the snorkeled at Coral Beach. You better believe we found Dori! That evening we relaxed at the kibbutz and Tuesday we woke up and took an Eco tour. Our desert excursions continue as we head to the much anticipated Bedouin tents for an evening of bonding, authentic food and…. camels! More updates from the tent to come!! On deck- sunrise Masada and floating in the Dead Sea!
