Western Europe Discovery #3: Normandy Beach, Versailles, and Paris

We’ve been pretty busy here. On Monday we arrived in Caen and disembarked from our overnight ferry. We began our day right away with visiting the Normandy Omaha beach and memorial for D-Day In World War II. We then visited the U.S. WWII cemetery and had a very sombering and humbling visit. We finished the morning going to the Museum for History and Peace. Before driving to Paris, we stopped for lunch. Once we made it to Paris we checked into our hotel and had dinner.

On Tuesday, we headed out and visited the Versailles Palace and Gardens. We then had lunch in the Jewish Quarter before going to the Shoah (Holocaust) Museum and seeing the Notre Dame Cathedral. We finished at the Champs Eslyees and the Arch De’Triumph before dinner.

Wednesday, we began our day climbing the Eiffel Tower and seeing a view of Paris. We than had some lunch before going to the Louvre Museum. We had some free time to explore the city before heading back to the hotel.
