Western Europe Discovery #1: Louvre Museum, Eiffel Tower, and Bruges

Enjoy this update written by teen participants Laura and Sasha:
On our third day in France, we started our day by heading to the incredible Louvre. Upon entering the Louvre, we had the opportunity to see many fantastic pieces of art that have been around for hundreds of years. Viewing these pieces was an eye opening experience into the history of France, as well as other parts of European art.

Getting to look at the Mona Lisa was truly unforgettable. Afterwards, we took a group picture outside the museum, and then proceeded to head to the Eiffel Tower. Although we had to wait in line for a significant amount of time, the opportunity to climb up the stairs of the Eiffel Tower was truly worth it. The hike up was exhausting and painful for some, however we all came back from it with no regrets. The view from both the middle and very top was absolutely stunning and something everyone should see at some point in their lives.

Today we traveled for a long 4 hours to Belgium and most kids got to catch up on their sleep which was very nice. When we finally make it to the beautiful Bruges we had a nice lunch at the Friet Museum and ate the worlds best French fries! We also went to a chocolate museum and had some amazing Belgian chocolate. After that we came back to the hotel to check in, eat dinner, and plan for Shabbat Tomorrow.
